Selangor DAP chief Tony Pua is amused by the decision of Selangor PAS to stay with the Selangor state government without cooperating politcally with PKR.

Taking to Facebook, Pua called for Selangor PAS to quit the state cabinet and be seated with Umno on the opposition bench.

"If (there is) no political relationship, why be in a coalition government? Sit in opposition with Umno lah," he said.

Selangor PAS commissioner Sallehen Mukhyi said yesterday that they agreed with the PAS syura council, which had announced that it would uphold the decision of the party's muktamar to sever political ties with PKR.

Sallehan, however, said the party's exco members in the state government will remain in their respective positions but will not have a political relationship with PKR.

PAS representatives in Selangor would not partake in political discussions with Pakatan Harapan parties on matters related to the general election, including seat allocation, he said.

Pua's colleague, Teng Chang Khim, who is the state senior executive councillor said yesterday he has no issues with PAS remaining in the state cabinet.

When contacted later, Pua declined to comment further, saying he has nothing to say for the time being.

Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali had met Sallehen and three exco members from the party this morning to obtain an explanation from them regarding their position in the state government

"They have already provided an explanation and I will study it," Azmin said, refusing to elaborate further.

Pua said he will comment after Azmin announces his decision of the meeting.
