Women, Family and Community Development Minister Rohani Abdul Karim was forced to apologise after complaints were aired over the poor treatment of those in need by the Welfare Department (JKM).
This was during a Transformasi Nasional 2050 (TN50) dialogue with the ministry, where welfare officers were accused of behaving like "cowboys".
"I apologise on behalf of the officers. I ask officers to not bring along their personal issues, their stress or anger when dealing with clients,” she said at the session in Kajang.
