Gerakan poured scorn on DAP over accusations that the former was sabotaging projects by the Penang government that would benefit the people.

Gerakan vice-president Dominic Lau said this in reference to Penang exco Chow Kon Yeow's comment about the state government's project to construct three roads and an undersea tunnel in the state.

Lau said none of the components had started construction despite the original schedule had planned for the first road to begin construction in early 2015 and completed this year.

"Now the Penang government officially states that the construction of the first road will only start sometime in the middle of next year - making it at least a 3.5 years delay despite hundreds of millions already paid...
