Fuel prices across the board remain the same as last week.

At the stroke of midnight, RON95 prices will remain at RM1.97 per litre, while RON97 at RM2.22 per litre.

Diesel prices will also remain at RM1.96 per litre.

Weekly fuel prices are determined based on the average Means of Platts Singapore (Mops) price as well as the average ringgit strength against the US dollar in the previous week.

Since the new pricing mechanism was in introduced in April, this is the first time that no changes have been made to fuel prices in two consecutive weeks.

Earlier last month saw five consecutive weeks of oil price decrease, prompting concerns from petrol kiosk operators, followed by two weeks of increase.

The government has since hinted that it is working on creating a new “win-win solution” for all stakeholders.
