Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) Kluang chief Radzali Md Noor passed away during a ceramah organised by PKR-linked NGO Invoke in Johor yesterday.

The 58-year-old collapsed after finishing his speech on the Invoke truck-cum-stage in Paloh, Kluang.

He did not regain consciousness despite efforts to revive him, Oriental Daily reported.

“The accompanying personnel sent him to the clinic in Paloh, but sadly he could not be rescued,” DAP Mengkibol assemblyperson Tan Hong Pin, who was present, was quoted as saying.

Tan said Radzali felt unwell for the past few days but was determined to attend the talk.

Radzali (right in picture) is survived by his widow and two children.

Yesterday, Invoke organised a “Jom Bina Negara” ceramah in rural Paloh, featuring Invoke founder and PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli, Johor PKR chief Hassan Abdul Karim, Bersatu secretary general Sharuddin Md Salleh and others.

Popularly known as Cikgu Radzali, the deceased taught in SMK Tun Hussein Onn, Kluang before joining local Umno division for 30 years. He was Kluang Umno deputy chief in 2008 to 2013.

In 2016, Radzali resigned from Umno and joined Bersatu.

Apart from Kluang division head, he was also Johor Bersatu information chief.

BN and Pakatan Harapan have expressed their condolences to Radzali's family, including Johor exco and Umno Kluang chief Md Jais Sarday and DAP's Kluang MP Liew Chin Tong.

Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin also paid his respects.
