Umno Youth members had confronted their counterparts from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) yesterday in order to safeguard their party's dignity and image said its Federal Territory chief Razlan Rafii.

Razlan said the move was also to prevent a repeat of the "Adam Adli incident" - in reference to the former student activist's action of lowering a flag with Najib's image, hung outside the Umno headquarters during a protest for greater academic freedom in December 2011.

"We knew that they were coming. So we waited and we decided that they should not set foot here (at PWTC)...
