A man, his two brothers, and his father have been remanded for one week to facilitate investigations into claims they had raped his two daughters over the last six years.

According to the New Straits Times, police in Kota Samarahan, Sarawak were alerted to the case by Serian Hospital yesterday after its staff discovered that one of the victims, a 19-year-old, was pregnant.

During the medical checkup, the girl who was 25 weeks pregnant claimed she had been raped by the four suspects at her house since she was 13.

She claimed that her 14-year-old sister had also been a victim.

Police then arrested the four men, who are all farmers.

The case is being investigated under Section 376B of the Penal Code for incest.

Those convicted can be sentenced to a maximum of 30 years’ imprisonment and whipped.

The news comes barely a week after a man was charged 626 times for allegedly raping and sodomising his 15-year-old daughter for two years.
