Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) Youth has urged the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to immediately probe Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's wealth instead of waiting to establish a "basis" to do so.

Amanah Youth vice-chief Shazni Munir Mohd Ithnin said it was wrong for MACC chief Dzulkifli Ahmad to be non-committal towards investigating the claims without having initiated a probe.

"Why is it so difficult to start the investigations? How can the MACC conclude that a case has no good or strong basis when the investigation has not even started?" asked Shazni when contacted today.
