Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and Felda chairperson Shahrir Samad must present Felda's untabled 2015 and 2016 financial and annual reports in the next Parliament session this October, said PKR vice president Rafizi Ramli.

"If Najib and Shahrir think I have forgotten about Felda's untabled statements, they are wrong. I will continue to follow closely until the financial statements are released.

"I will also review the relevant acts to ensure no tricks can be made to delay the presentation of statements for both years in the upcoming Parliament session," Rafizi said in a statement today.

Rafizi said Felda as a government agency is legally obligated to report their audited financial statements in Parliament.

In February, Shahrir was reported as saying that Felda's 2015 financial reports would be tabled in Parliament in March.

Rafizi said the reports have yet to materialise. However, he said this comes as no surprise as Najib has yet to refute any of his series of exposes and statements on Felda's financial status from last December to January this year.

Felda's financial well-being has been a hot topic for the opposition, especially over its plans to purchase shares in Indonesian firm PT Eagle High for three times the market value.

Despite this, Rafizi said Felda settlers appear to have been placated by the government.

This includes Putrajaya's decision to replace Isa Samad - who was a controversial chairperson - with Shahrir, and the former's exit from Felda Global Ventures, as well his arrest by the MACC last week.

"I'm sure Najib is definitely relieved because his political moves on Felda seems to be able to bear fruit ahead of the 14th general elections," Rafizi said.

The MACC is currently probing Isa and Felda subsidiary Felda Investment Corp (FIC) over the purchase of two hotels, one in Kuching and one in London.
