Get tougher on PAS, Amanah tells Harapan
Amanah has expressed concern over PAS' "selective relationship" with PKR, saying that Pakatan Harapan should be tougher on the Islamist party’s “flip flopping.”
"The justification (to talk to PAS) to avoid three-cornered fights seems to be an innocent reason, but nevertheless there is a need for Harapan to be tougher on PAS' flip-flop policy.

"The tough stance will result in PAS being sidelined from the opposition coalition, so that voters can make easier decisions," said Amanah vice-president Mujahid Yusof Rawa.
Failing to do so would make the coalition look “weak and disunited,” he claimed, adding that “that is what Umno wants.”
The Parit Buntar MP admitted that although everyone was aware of the drawbacks of three-cornered fights, it is a reality that the coalition can deal with.
"Yes, we all fear three-cornered fights but we also have time to explain (it to voters), and new developments can deal with the loss of PAS' influence.
"Three-cornered fights are a reality which we can address by being firm, and rejecting PAS' flip-flopping in fighting Umno and BN," he said.
Mujahid also claimed that those wanting to avoid three-cornered fights are not serious about the toppling “BN's kleptocratic government.”
The Harapan presidential council decided earlier this week that the coalition would not cooperate with PAS in the coming election.
However, a dispute is still brewing within component party PKR, where some members favour cooperating with PAS, while others do not.
