Seven 'partying' cops transferred after viral video

The Johor police have transferred seven police personnel who were allegedly appeared in a video clip depicting them at a "party" involving a gambling den operator.

In a statement today, Johor police chief Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd said the police will not tolerate any disciplinary breaches.

Earlier today, Bernama reported that the matter has caught the attention of Bukit Aman.

The same report claimed that the video clip depicted police personnel were from the Muar police district.

Five of the police personnel were reportedly part of the police's D7 division, which deals with secret societies, illegal gambling and vice.

Inspector-general of police Mohamad Fuzi Harun said he was waiting for a full report from the Johor police.

"A thorough investigation will be conducted and action will be taken if the policemen had breached the law," he said when contacted by Bernama News Channel last night.

He said he had also directed the Bukit Aman Integrity and Standard Compliance Department will be investigating the matter as well.
