ROS introduces good governance for organisations
The Registrar of Societies (ROS) has introduced the pilot project to evaluate the "Good Governance for Organisations" programme in a bid to empower the image of organisations.
Its director-general, Mohammad Razin Abdullah, said the programme was launched by Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who is also home minister, last year.
“Recognition will be given to organisations that managed to govern themselves based on the five principles of the Code For Good Governance.
“Starting next year, the Evaluation of Good Governance will be re-open to all organisations,” he said at the carnival in conjunction with the Societies Day celebration at Pantai Batu Burok in Kuala Terengganu today.
Also present were Terengganu menteri besar Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman and deputy minister of communication and multimedia Jailani Johari.
This year, the Malaysian Aids Council won the recognition and Certificate for Good Governance for Organisations 2017.
