The national football team is down four spots in the Fifa rankings and is now occupying the 170th slot, from a total of 209 countries ranked. 

It currently shares its position with Cambodia. 

Harimau Malaya has been in a slump of late, losing four of its last five games and securing one draw.

All losses were against higher ranked teams.

The team has not ranked in the top 100 since 1997. Malaysia's highest rank was in 1993 when it ranked 79.
