Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who is also home minister, said today that he will negotiate for opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim to receive post-surgery treatment until he has wholly recuperated.
"I will negotiate with the Health Ministry and the Prisons Department to provide him with post-operation treatment until he is fully recovered," he told journalists in Puchong tonight.
Zahid was asked about Anwar's family's request to allow the Pakatan Harapan de facto leader to undergo full recovery in a hospital instead of prison.
