Son of Amanah leader nabbed with 200 'pil kuda'

The son of an Amanah top leader has been arrested by police, after being caught with 200 'pil kuda' (methamphetamine pills).

The 29-year-old suspect was detained at a home in Kota Bharu, Kelantan yesterday.

Utusan Malaysia reported that the arrest was confirmed by Kota Bharu district police chief Ismail Mat Sidik.

"The suspect has been remanded for four days starting today to help with investigations into the 200 pil kuda found in his front right pocket," Ismail said.

Under the Dangerous Drugs Act, those guilty of possession of more than 50 grammes of methamphetamine face a mandatory death penalty.
