Issue of structure without permit in Portuguese Settlement resolved

The issue of a 30-metre structure that is being built without a permit in the Portuguese Settlement in Malacca, which went viral on social media is now resolved following the settlement’s development and security committee (JKKK) agreeing to demolish it.
Melaka Historical City (MBMB) mayor Zainal Hussin in a statement said MBMBwas made to understand that the demolishment work had started on Nov 21 and that the JKKK had been asked to submit the work schedule for monitoring.
MBMB had issued a stop work order on the structure on Oct 30 after receiving complaints.
