AirAsia has refuted Kinabatangan MP Bung Moktar Radin’s claim that a one-way ticket from Sandakan to Kuala Lumpur costs RM2,000.
“Referring to statements made by MP Bung Moktar Radin, AirAsia would like to clarify that the claim is untrue,” its CEO Aireen Omar said in a statement today.
“The claim by the MP that a one-way flight on that route costs RM2,000 is completely untrue. The average one-way fare for AirAsia flights between Kuala Lumpur and Sandakan is RM213.
“Even during peak season, when AirAsia operates flights with 100 percent load factor, our highest fare was about RM1,180, which still remains lowest in the market,” Aireen added...
