Lorry driver gets five years' jail for breaking into judge's house

A 22-year-old assistant lorry driver was sentenced to five years’ jail by the Sessions Court in Kuala Lumpur today for breaking into a Federal Court judge’s house and stealing several items worth an estimated RM11,300.

Ahmad Norfais Ishak pleaded guilty to breaking into Justice Balia Yusof Wahi's house on Jalan Kent in Wangsa Maju, via the toilet window, and stealing two Nikon cameras, three Porsche model cars, a Go Pro camera, a power bank with a Palace of Justice label, a lens kit for a mobile phone, a mobile hard disk, a pair of shoes and a government-issued HP laptop, all of which were estimated to be worth RM11,300.

The crime occurred about 6.10am on Oct 22, 2017.

Ahmad Norfais was charged under Section 457 of the Penal Code, and was sentenced to the minimum five years’ jail sentence.

Police had found several of his fingerprints at the scene of the crime...
