Malaysia's manufacturing sales in July rose 11.8 percent year-on-year to RM38.7 billion (RM10.26 billion), official data showed Friday.

However, sales fell 0.8 percent from June, the Statistics Department said in a statement.

For the first seven months of the year, cumulative manufacturing sales rose 15.6 percent to RM227.6 billion.
