The Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail, and Raja Muda, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, will attend a gathering at Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail Mosque in Kangar this Friday in a show of support for Palestine.

According to a statement from the Perlis Islamic Religious Affairs and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs) chief executive officer, Mohd Nazim Mohd Noor, the ruler will also address the gathering themed “Ruler leads the ummah: Palestine issue.”

He said in conjunction with the gathering, Perlis mufti Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin will deliver a special Friday sermon on the struggles of the Palestinian people.

Mohd Nazim said the gathering would also be a show of protest against US President Donald Trump declaring Jerusalem as the new capital of Israel.

The public is invited to attend the gathering as a show of support and sympathy for the sufferings of the Palestinians at the hands of the Israeli regime.
