Azizah Hamdi, the wife of inspector-general of police Mohamad Fuzi Harun, died at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre in Kuala Lumpur tonight. She was 58.

Azizah, who was admitted to the hospital for cancer treatment, died at 7.02 pm.

A Bukit Aman Corporate Communications Unit spokesperson confirmed the news.

The funeral prayers will be held at the Selangor Police Contingent Headquarters Mosque tonight and the remains will be taken to Rapat Jaya, Ipoh in Perak for burial at about 9 am tomorrow.
