Come next year, a total of 120,000 youth under 40 years of age are expected to benefit from an additional allocation in the 2018 Terengganu budget for the Youth Transformation Fund (YTF).

State youth, sports and human resources committee chairperson Rozi Mamat said the fund would be increased to RM27 million next year, from RM23 million this year.

“The state government has also agreed to increase the monthly ceiling income to qualify for YTF to RM3,000 from RM2,000...so, those whose salary is below RM3,000 can qualify for the fund next year.

“What is important is that they are youths who were born and will vote in Terengganu.

"The application can be made online at www.danattb.gov.my," he told reporters after the Telemong state assembly's premier circumcision event in Kuala Berang today.

A total of 100 boys, aged three to 12 were feted in the ceremony attended by Hulu Terengganu district education officer Jalaluddin Ismail.
