Heavy rainfall since 9pm last night has caused flash floods and minor landslides to occur in several areas in Penang.

Phee Boon Poh, who is the state executive councillor for welfare, caring society and the environment, said two relief centres have been opened so far.

"The Dewan JKKK (village development and security committee) of Ladang Lada (Pepper Estate) will be used for families affected by two landslides from Road 3, Pepper Estate. The landslides happened early this morning," Phee said...
