The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has frozen RM4 million in 17 bank accounts over alleged corruption and abuse of power by a Perlis government agency director.

Six witnesses had been summoned to have their statements recorded to assist in the investigation, said MACC Chief Commissioner Dzulkifli Ahmad at the Corruption Free Pledge at the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA) in Kuala Lumpur today.

Yesterday, the MACC arrested the 60-year-old government agency director and two company directors aged 39 and 50 years respectively.

The MACC also seized about RM900,000 in cash from the house of one of the company directors.
