Yoursay: Samy kissed Dr M’s feet, now son does the same for Najib

YOURSAY | ‘Many rakyat have forgiven Dr M but we have not forgiven what you and your father have done.’

Vell Paari reveals 'details' of Dr M, Anwar meeting in 1998

Goldee: Crooks and devils would try their best to convince people by revealing incidents that had occurred umpteen years ago. I am sure to him it was okay for Dr Mahathir Mohamad to sack Anwar then, but it’s not okay now simply as the two are currently a threat to BN.

So he is doing his best to spill the beans, hoping former Deputy Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim will not support Dr M.

MIC treasurer-general Vell Paari, why are you only now highlighting the issue and not before? All of a sudden you are so sympathetic towards Anwar and his family?

Anonymous: Vell Paari, your father former MIC president S Samy Vellu was kissing Mahathir’s feet when the latter was the PM. Now you are trying to do the same for Najib.

Where is your credibility, to dig out something that happened 20 years ago? You should openly come out and say it during that time. Since old stories are being brought up, can you refresh us on what happened to the Telekom Malaysia shares that was supposedly reserved for the Indian community?

You are too desperate for a seat to contest in the upcoming GE14. But you will be a liability to MIC if the party were to field you as a candidate. Meanwhile I would suggest you continue to kiss Najib’s feet to at least ensure you are given a position even if you are not chosen to contest in GE14.

Tholu: Hello Vell, while you embark on bashing spree of a reformed Mahathir, let's also talk about your father's alleged betrayal of the Indian community's trust in MIC.

Let's talk about the RM120 million Maika-Telekom shares hijacking scandal where nine of 10 million Telekom shares allocated to Maika were diverted to three private companies.

Then there is the MIED (Maju Institute of Educational Development) scandal where it was claimed that the building and operational costs had ballooned from RM230 million to almost RM500 million; and of course, many more scandals.

What about the involvement you are alleged to had had in the mysterious death of actress K Sujatha? Like they say, look into your own backyard first before assuming any moral rights to talk about others.

SusahKes: Yes, my man Vell, could you also reveal what happened to the Telekom shares Maika was supposed to receive, since you know so much?

Worried Sick: Vell Paari, how old were you 20 years ago? How come you can sit in at a meeting between Mahathir and Anwar in 1998? Were you that important then? Please stop trying to con us with these imaginary stories.

Anyway, when you drove a woman who had "attempted suicide" to the Klang Hospital from Kuala Lumpur instead of the Kuala Lumpur Hospital, what did she confide in you? I am sure you will remember that too.

Can you tell us something about it since you are talking about “Hari Ini Dalam Sejarah" (Today in History).

Hey thambi (little brother), can you also brief us about the Telekom shares allocated for the Indian community and the Maika fiasco in your next episode of "Hari Ini Dalam Sejarah"? We are all watching this channel with bated breath.

Anonymous #13571680: Dei Vell, we are not surprised. What is surprising is that you kept this information for 20 years and only now you are bringing it out with an ulterior motive.

Trust me, most of the rakyat have forgiven Mahathir but we have not forgiven what you and your father have done nor can we forgive the whole bunch of crooks out there.

We are coming together with the sole aim of preventing further damage to this beloved country of ours.

Wong Fei Hoong: Why is he bringing up this old matter for? Can this help to boost the image of MIC? Mahathir and Anwar have reconciled, so what's the big deal?

Anonymous #13114320: Some dogs of certain breeds can never be loyal. They will come to bite their former masters if need be.

And they can claim it is for the betterment of their families. Well, it’s indeed a dog-eat-dog world and I’m sure we will be seeing more of such behavior in the Year of the Dog!

Anonymous #19098644: Aiyoh Mr Vell Paari, don’t be so vile. How is it that 20 years after the event, you have suddenly developed sympathy for PKR president and Anwar’s wife Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and her family?

Why didn’t you come out two decades ago or when Anwar was charged? Even the Bollywood movie makers would find it difficult to use this plot.

Senior Citizen: Sudah lah, (Enough lah) Vell Paari. We are only interested in a change of government now, don't tell us nonsense that is from 20 years ago. Please tell us what you can offer to improve the economy of Malaysia and catch the culprits involved in 1MDB and Felda.

Just a Malaysian: Neither can we trust you. We have to choose between the devil who can help the cause versus the devil who will continue this rot.

Cogito Ergo Sum: The only hoped-for outcome of this "revelation" is to end the Mahathir-Anwar alliance.

It also is a clear indication that all is not so well for the party apparatchiks to appoint a lowly official like Vell Paari to come up with a useless piece of information with the hope it will cause a fissure in the alliance.

Unfortunately, the reverse is the outcome. We now know how desperate you must be.

Mindful: The best unscripted jokes are now found on Malaysiakini generously contributed by some of Malaysian political leaders. However, reading their ill-intended jokes can sometimes make us want to vomit.

EmEmKay: Vell Paari, our leading exponent of “post-truth” politics - a reliance on assertions that “feel true” but have no basis in fact.

If there is any truth in this, Anwar would have raised this matter during the height of his problems with Mahathir.
