Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng lied that DAP represents all Malaysians since its leaders dare not contest in Malay-majority constituencies, claimed an MCA leader.

Ti Lian Ker also turned the clock back to the 2016 Sarawak state election and the infamous “Malay screw Malay” remark by then DAP member Hew Kuan Yau, who is known as “Superman”.

“DAP had never disassociated itself from that statement and never disciplined Hew.

“Despite such racial instigation, up to today, Hew still features prominently and regularly in DAP ceramah sessions - regardless of whether he is still a DAP member or not,” he said in a statement.

Furthermore, the MCA publicity spokesperson said Malay leaders in DAP have failed to win in the party polls.

He also noted how DAP worked with the “religious fanatic” PAS to obtain Malay votes in the past and now with the “racist” Bersatu.

According to Ti, DAP fails to look at its own backyard when talking about principles.

“Instead of asking MCA to leave BN which has been the umbrella of moderation, DAP should quit the Selangor government where PAS is a component as a matter of principle,” he challenged.

Ti also urged Lim to ask his “buddy” Tourism and Culture Minister Nazri Abdul Aziz to apologise to the Chinese community over his remarks concerning billionaire Robert Kuok.

He also wanted DAP to call on former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad to apologise for all the alleged mega scandals, multiple cases of abuse of power such as Ops Lalang, the judicial crisis and so forth.

Nazri had locked horns with MCA leaders after the minister rained insults on Kuok over the allegation that the Hong Kong-based tycoon was bankrolling DAP.

Kuok and DAP have denied the allegation.

MCA claimed that Nazri's actions had irked the Chinese community and accused the Umno minister of colluding with DAP.

Nazri retaliated by stating that it was DAP, and not MCA, which represents the Chinese community at present.

Yesterday, Lim, who is DAP secretary-general, said his party represented all Malaysians, which included the ethnic Chinese.

This was after MCA president Liow Tiong Lai said DAP does not represent the Chinese.
