About 50pct still facing water disruption in Klang Valley

The restoration of water supply in the Klang Valley has proceeded smoothly in stages since yesterday while about 50 percent of Petaling, Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Langat are still facing water disruption.

According to Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas), as at 7am, water supply has been restored in about 73 percent of the overall accounts.

Nonetheless, restoration of water supply in Petaling, Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Langat currently has reached 47.5, 30.4 and 17.8 percent respectively.

Water supply has resumed in 98.8 percent of Hulu Selangor, 85.5 percent of Klang and 77.8 percent of Gombak.

“Lorry tankers will continue to be mobilised to provide water to areas still facing water cut and Sybas local service centres will remained activated until water supply is fully restored,” said Sybas in a statement.
