Putrajaya had the highest proportionate number of Google searches for Pakatan Harapan's manifesto this week compared to other cities and states in the country, according to Google Trends.

The statistics, which give a score of 0 to 100 based on the popularity of a search term in a region, saw Putrajaya score 100 from between 6pm Thursday until 6pm today.

In comparison, searches for "Pakatan Harapan manifesto" scored less than 40 in all other states, with Kedah coming in at second place with a score of 36.

Google, in an explainer of the statistics, said: "A higher value means a higher proportion of all queries, not a higher absolute query count.

"So a tiny country where 80 percent of the queries are for 'bananas' will get twice the score of a giant country where only 40 percent of the queries are for 'bananas'."

Searches for the manifesto were lowest in Johor and Sarawak, which scored 15 and 12 respectively in the same time period.

The Harapan manifesto was launched on Thursday night, with the highlight being 10 promises that the coalition promises to implement within 100 days in office.

This includes abolishing the goods and services tax, reintroducing fuel subsidies, and setting up royal commissions of inquiry to probe various scandals including 1MDB.
