Pokok Sena MP Mahfuz Omar (above) is set to announce plans for his political future tomorrow.

This comes three months after he terminated his 34-year membership with PAS.

In preparation for the announcement, Mahfuz today sent out an invitation for a press conference in Parliament tomorrow.

Met by journalists in Parliament today, he remained coy on which party he would be joining.

"Wait for the announcement tomorrow," he said.

Mahfuz is widely expected to join a Pakatan Harapan component party.

Most PAS leaders who have had a falling out with the current PAS leadership have joined splinter party Amanah.

In Mahfuz's case, Bersatu had been speculated as an option.

This is owing to Bersatu leading the charge in his home state Kedah under the leadership of the former menteri besar Mukhriz Mahathir.
