Police have arrested two teenagers who allegedly bullied and robbed a mentally challenged man at a playground in Taman Sri Kluang yesterday evening.

Kluang police chief Mohamad Laham was quoted saying in news reports that the suspects, both aged 18, tested positive for methamphetamine.

"Both suspects were arrested at their homes in Taman Sri Lambak about 11pm last night, and are being probed under Section 382 of the Penal Code for theft.

"Police also seized a mobile phone, RM20 in cash and a sling bag, believed to have been taken from the victim," Mohamad reportedly said in a statement.

A 32-second video depicting the bullying incident, which took place about 8.30am yesterday, had gone viral on social media.

It shows one of the suspects approaching the 20-year-old victim, while brandishing a stick. The victim can be seen lifting his hands in front of him, trying to fend off the attacker.

A friend of the suspect, who was recording the video, can be heard laughing while the suspect is beating the victim, including thrusting his palm in the man's throat, causing the latter to double over in pain.

The victim's father lodged a police report after viewing the video, which led to the arrests.
