Return mandate to BN, MCA candidate tells Seremban folk

The Seremban parliamentary constituency will be a better place for the people if it can return to the BN in the coming 14th General Election (GE14), said MCA Youth chief, Chong Sin Woon.

He said GE14 is the best time for the Seremban people to make the change.

“It has been 10 years (two terms) under the (current) position. As you can see, the first five years, nobody even remembered who our member of parliament (MP) was, and what he has done for this constituency.

“Our Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Mohamad Hasan is working very hard to get (wrest) back Seremban…we need an MP with a high level of commitment to serving the people.

“More good policies can come about if the member of parliament is elected from BN, as compared to the opposition,” he told reporters when met after officiating the 7th Malaysian Lasallian Educators Conference 2018 (MaLEC 2018) today.

MCA president Liow Tiong Lai had on Dec 31, last year, announced Chong, who is also deputy education minister, as the BN candidate for the Seremban seat in GE14.

The seat, which was created in 1974, is now held by DAP’s Anthony Loke.

Loke won the seat in the 13th general election in 2013, with a majority of 12,553 votes after defeating (the late) Yeow Chai Thiam of BN and three independent candidates.
