Fuel prices will go up by two sen effective midnight.

The retail price for RON95 and RON97 will go up to RM2.20 and RM2.47 per litre respectively.

The price of diesel will also go up by two sen, to RM2.18 per litre.

The announcement was made by the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry.

The weekly fuel price system was implemented on March 30 last year.

It is determined by global oil prices based on the Mean of Platts Singapore and the ringgit's strength against the US dollar.

The retail prices are announced every Wednesday evening and take effect the following day.
