The coming general election continues to be unfair to the opposition, just as it has been in the last poll, said PAS Youth.

"The coming 14th general election will be no different from the one before this.

"The electoral system is still shackled by the ruling party, and there are elements of unfairness towards contesting parties, especially the opposition, said PAS Youth chief Muhammad Khalil Abdul Hadi.

Speaking at the University Graduates Convention in Seri Kembangan, Selangor today, Khalil however did not elaborate.

However, he said PAS would still participate in the elections so as to bring change to the country, including aspiring to free and fair elections.

Earlier today, analyst Wong Chin Huat was reported telling The Australian with the controversial redelineation proposal being rushed through Parliament, BN could get a two-thirds majority with just 40 percent of the votes.

The redelineation has been widely criticised as not rectifying the malapportionment that in the last contest in 2013 saw BN winning a simple majority with just 47 percent of the votes.

Instead, the proposal would make malapportionment worse, apart from creating racially unbalanced constituencies.
