GE14 | Kelantan Menteri Besar and state PAS commissioner Ahmad Yakob today dropped hints that a state veteran may be dropped from the party's 14th general election candidates list.

Speaking to the media in Kota Bharu today, he said such a possibility would not be surprising.

Whether a personality was big or small, he said, was not an issue.

“A small figure can be big too.

“There is a possibility it will happen… this would not be surprising,” he said at a press conference at the Kelantan menteri besar's residence today.

However, he did not elaborate or give any clues as to who the figure was.

Ahmad was announcing the dissolution of the state assembly today, following the dissolution of Parliament to pave way for GE14.

He said roughly 30 percent of PAS' candidates will be “new faces” and women.

Despite talk that PAS may lose the state it has ruled for 28 years, Ahmad said he was confident of securing at least the 31 seats necessary to form the next state government.
