As PKR prepares to lead Pakatan Harapan to face the 14th general elections, party deputy president Azmin Ali today said he welcomed the support of all, including his estranged sister Ummi Hafilda.

"I am okay with that. I have no problems with that.

"When it comes to the elections, every single vote counts," Azmin told reporters after the launch of PKR's GE14 machinery and logistics convoy at the Selangor Youth and Culture complex in Shah Alam.

He said this when asked to comment on Ummi Hafilda's surprise appearance during a Bersatu Youth fundraiser in Kuala Lumpur this afternoon. 

Her presence next to Harapan chairperson Dr Mahathir Mohamad had raised eyebrows as she was known to be a staunch critic of jailed PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim.

Ummi Hafilda also told reporters she was still not on good terms with Azmin but conceded that blood is thicker than water and now they shared the same goal to topple BN.

Commenting further, Azmin said he is happy for any show of support for Mahathir and Harapan.

"I am happy and I was quite surprised to see her at the function... But I had to rush.

"I was there just to say hello to Tun and I had to get back here," he added.

Ummi Hafilda had made headlines as the star witness in Anwar's first sodomy trial.

She also joined the Umno campaign trail in the last general election.
