Umno has reminded all its members to refrain from sabotaging the party, supporting its adversaries or committing any other related offences in the run-up to the 14th general election on May 9.
Its secretary-general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor (above), said all party members, including those holding positions at any level, were bound by the Umno constitution and code of ethics and should not violate the party rules.
“Any member of the party found guilty of committing acts defying the party rules can be expelled or suspended from the party immediately,” he said in a statement here today.
Tengku Adnan said he hoped that all Umno members would give their undivided support and carry out their responsibilities to ensure a Barisan Nasional victory in the general election.
