Yoursay: MyPPP, MIC gunning for a seat that neither will win

YOURSAY | ‘Kayveas is fighting for a first-class cabin on a sinking ship.’

MyPPP may reconsider BN membership after meeting Najib

Clever Voter: MyPPP president M Kayveas should have known that three's company. So long as MIC exists, it is very unlikely BN will ever give any concession to MyPPP, since there’s no reason to.

If he is intent on running as an independent in Cameron Highlands, I suggest he save the deposit instead. Or at least donate it to Pakatan Harapan. What would be the difference anyway?

Don’t Just Talk: The last thing that MyPPP would dare to do is to pull out from BN. They can throw all the tantrums they want, the Cameron Highland seat will still go to MIC.

Anonymous 2447431479879374: Kayveas must be a jester. Approached by Harapan? Really? Why would they do that?

MIC are already looked down upon by most, and MyPPP can’t even reach those ‘heights.’

Hopeful123: Kayveas claims that he had been approached by Harapan. Wow! Even Zaid Ibrahim, a former minister, is disgruntled because DAP has deemed him surplus to requirement.

What plane of existence is Kayveas living on?

Anonymous_b3cdcd05: In the opposition, we seldom hear of any constituents demanding any particular candidate, nor any candidate demanding any particular constituency, as in the case of MyPPP.

Opposition candidates are invariably rotated in every election and they stand wherever they are placed based on their track record of serving the people and own merits of their performance as MPs or assemblypersons.

The culture of making threats and demands is largely prevalent in BN because the candidates have no standing of their own. Neither do the parties they represent. They don't serve the people but their corrupted leaders.

When the election comes around they make demands on their party leaders. They also corrupt the constituents with ‘dedak’ (animal feed) and claim that the constituents are demanding that they be fielded in a particular constituency.

And when there isn’t enough ‘dedak’ to go around, they throw a fit.

Voter For Change: Indeed, I have doubts that Kayveas was approached by Harapan. Someone of his calibre would be more suited to PAS’ coalition of random parties.

Fairman: What’s with the ‘sandiwara’ (drama)? If MyPPP really wanted to leave BN, why the need to consult chairperson Najib Abdul Razak first? Why not just leave?

Kayveas won’t, because all this is for his own personal benefit, not even the party’s. It is sad to see the party set up by the Seenivasagam brothers brought to infamy and disrepute by this charlatan.

Anonymous 2447431479879374: Would Najib deign to meet Kayveas? Does he even know who Kayveas is?

Fernz: Actually, it would be good if MyPPP, or PPP, were to leave BN and go back to the days when they were strong in Perak. Without Kayveas, of course. Gerakan should do the same.

Go 4 Change: To be honest, it would be best for everyone involved if MyPPP was just dissolved, and the money that it has in its accounts distributed to members.

Most people know that Kayveas is holding on to the corpse of a once great party for some position in the future. But even more know that it isn’t going to happen in this lifetime.

Victor Johan: Kayveas knows he has zero chance of getting Cameron Highlands, nor winning any parliamentary seat.

That’s why he’s staging this ‘threat’ to Najib. So he can then justify not participating in the 14th general election – because it was ‘taken away’ from him.

Anonymous 621101460964937: If Kayveas is so confident of winning in Cameron Highlands, and if the people there really love him, as he claims, he should stand as an independent, win with a large margin, and then leap like a frog into BN after May 9 for large sums.

Everyone wins… except the rakyat. But I doubt the rakyat’s welfare is very high on his list of priorities.

Machiave11i: Kayveas’ nickname is ‘Uncle Bond’? Is that some reference of them being bonded to Umno?

Doc: ‘Uncle Bond’ is now shaken and stirred because he won’t get his sought-after Cameron Highlands seat. Clearly, Kayveas is fighting for a first-class cabin on the Titanic.

Will Kayveas claim Najib is a MyPPP member next, asks Sivarraajh

Worried Sick: Everyone knows Kayveas is worse than a has-been, he’s a ‘never was’. He is a joke that stopped being funny a long time ago.

But I don’t see why MIC Youth chief C Sivarraajh is laughing. It’s not like he’s guaranteed to win Cameron Highlands.

The Seenivasagam brothers must be turning in their graves.

Gerard Lourdesamy: Both Kayveas and Sivarraajh are fighting like vultures. The seat will go to Harapan because PAS will split the Malay votes, PSM will split the Indian and Orang Asli votes, and the Chinese will remain with DAP.

VGV: Indeed, why are these two fighting over a seat that neither will win?

RedHero: We all know Kayveas doesn’t really want the seat. He himself knows that if BN were to field him, he would lose terribly. We also know what Kayveas is actually gunning for with this stunt.

Bogus Warrior: Kayveas is obviously lobbying to be pitied, made a senator, and get a cushy deputy minister's post.

Cogito Ergo Sum: Yes, Sivarraajh should sue Kayveas. Sue him for misrepresenting his party as a genuine political entity.
