GE14 | Selangor PAS tonight took a shot at the state caretaker menteri besar Mohd Azmin Ali and Pakatan Harapan for alleged unfair use of state assets.
This came in reference to a circular by caretaker Selangor state secretary Mohd Amin Ahmad Ahya, which allegedly bars political parties from using venues owned by local councils during the 14th general election (GE14) campaign period.
The official campaign period for GE14 begins on nomination day, April 28.
Selangor PAS commissioner Sallehin Mukhyi said PAS had respected this administrative order, which he claimed was not followed by 'other parties'.
"Unfortunately there are parties that try to show their integrity by returning their official cars, going home by Grab, but use venues owned by the local councils.
"We see their acting tonight, and focus on our own intentions," Sallehin said in his opening speech at the ceremony to unveil Selangor PAS' GE14 candidates.
Azmin had taken a Grab car trip after surrendering his official car last week.
Selangor PAS election director Roslan Shahir Mohd Shahir had earlier today issued a statement complaining of Harapan's use of the Kuala Selangor stadium - a state-owned venue - for a major ceramah on Monday, while barring others from doing the same.
Selangor PAS assemblypersons are still caretaker state executive councillors.
Sallehin, meanwhile, also took another shot at Selangor Harapan which has yet to reveal its line-up of candidates.
"Alhamdulillah all of our candidates have taken their oaths, for them to be introduced tonight.
"We are leading (with an earlier announcement) because we have concluded our selection (of candidates) in a magnanimous manner.
"Although we hear our friends on the other side are like being on the Gaza strip, still (fighting) and yet to conclude," he claimed.
Also present during the event were over 1,000 PAS members and supporters, as well as former Selangor menteri besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim and Gagasan Sejahtera leaders.
Selangor Harapan is expected to unveil its full list of candidates during the Kuala Selangor function on Monday.
