COMMENT | DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang has all this while said it is the DAP’s policies that have won them the people’s support.

However, one starts to wonder what really are the DAP’s policies after they have made numerous U-turns and flirted dangerously and irresponsibly with Semangat 46, PAS, PKR, Amanah and now Bersatu.

DAP stands for Democratic Action Party, but to date, they have failed to elect Malays into their central working committee despite decades of existence.

In practising the spirit of democracy, Malays being the majority in this country should be rightfully voted into their highest decision making authority, but DAP has clearly failed to do this.

DAP has been under the iron-grip of Kit Siang for more than four decades and he has systematically removed and ousted all dissidents and leaders who failed to toe his line.

Rightfully, DAP is more of a Dictatorial Action Party than a democratic one and does not tolerate any dissent or differences of opinions from within. Instead of adhering to democratic practices, only cronyism and nepotism thrives in DAP.

DAP’s claim to be a socialist party is also a fallacy. In Penang, they have focused on luxury housing at the expense of the poor and ordinary rakyat. In reality and contrast, the Penang DAP government are merely capitalist friendly.

Gone were the days when they pretended to be environmental-friendly. They have also stopped preaching the principles of Competency, Accountability and Transparency (CAT) but instead have entangled themselves in perceived and actual acts of corruption and cover-ups.

DAP has lied to the people

Calling a spade a spade, DAP has lied to the people. In Selangor, the party continues to govern together with PAS despite public assurances that it is no longer with PAS. To make things worse, now DAP has adopted racist parties like Amanah and Bersatu into their fold.

DAP has also, for political interests, kissed and made up with Dr Mahathir Mohamad after decades of spewing hatred and contempt on Mahathir’s rule.

DAP is now making a U-turn, naming Mahathir as their candidate for prime minister after promising to put Mahathir in jail if they came into power in previous general elections.

The people are now perplexed and confused as to what DAP’s real policies are - socialism or capitalism? The DAP Penang government has failed in their practice of transparency and accountability as seen in the multi-billion ringgit undersea tunnel scam.

The MCA totally agrees with Kit Siang that “only you can destroy yourself”.

Surely and slowly DAP is destroying themselves with their arrogance by sending their young “soldiers” Liew Chin Tong and Nga Kor Ming to allegedly “exterminate” MCA and Gerakan leaders.

Obviously, Kit Siang is now trying to deny their failed attempt, knowing that their arrogance has backfired as the Chinese community has seen through their political facades and insincerity.

Now the people are seeing that DAP’s CAT stands for Cowardice, Arrogance and Trouble!
