GE14 | PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang had received an ominous sign in his dream a day before Nik Omar, the son of the late PAS spiritual leader Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, joined Pakatan Harapan.

This is according to PAS vice-president Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah who said Hadi had confided in him.

Nik Amar believed that the dream was related to Nik Omar who yesterday submitted his nomination papers to contest in the state seat of Chempaka under Harapan, which is using the PKR common logo.

The move led to Nik Omar's expulsion from PAS.

"When I was speaking with tuan guru (Hadi) about the candidate in Pengkalan Chepa, tuan guru had specifically raised his dream about late tok guru Nik Aziz.

"Nik Aziz came to him with one leg only. Then he was pushed and tossed around, people did all kind of things to him.

"So it appears that in the dream, the missing leg is the person who is fighting us (Nik Omar)," he told supporters shortly after completing the nomination process in Panchor.

A video of the address had since been uploaded on social media.

Chempaka is a state seat under the parliamentary constituency of Pengkalan Chepa.

Mohd Amar urged voters to "support Islam's struggle" even though a family member of Nik Abdul Aziz was contesting in the seat.

"Ignore who he is. Don't think that he is tok guru's son or family member and start wavering," he said.

Nik Omar is the second child out of 10 of Nik Aziz's children with his wife Sabariah Tuan Ishak.

Nik Omar had initially indicated that he will not contest in Chempaka, believing that his brother Nik Abduh will also be contesting there under PAS.

Nik Omar cited his mother's wish to avoid a clash in the famil.

However, Nik Abduh was instead fielded in the parliamentary seat of Bachok and Amanah's candidate for Chempaka had to be dropped at the last minute due to a police case.

Following this, Nik Omar stepped in and formally became a candidate for Harapan.
