GE14 | Badminton ace Lee Chong Wei has incurred the wrath of Pakatan Harapan supporters after appearing with BN leaders on the campaign trail.

Commenting on this, BN strategic communication department deputy director Eric See-To trained his guns on DAP's supporters.

“Just because Lee came out to support BN does not mean he needs to be attacked by DAP's supporters in this manner and be called a running dog or 'chowkow'.

“This DAP tactic to attack individuals who speak out against them is a very old communist-era tactic to incite fear to prevent people from criticising DAP or speaking well of DAP's opponent.

“It is just their way of suppressing freedom of speech and democracy,” he added in a statement this morning.

On the same note, See-To told Lee that he is not alone.

“Other than me, others who have been called 'running dog' for going against DAP and telling the truth includes DAP's own Dr Tan Seng Giaw and former Johor DAP head Dr Boo Cheng Hau - both who provided decades of loyal service to DAP but are now treated this way,” he added.

The BN strategist said Malaysians, especially Chinese Malaysians, must not be afraid to criticise DAP if the party is in the wrong.

“You must no longer be intimidated into keeping silent by DAP's attack crews. You must express outrage against DAP's hate tactics such as this and their treatment of Lee.

“DAP and their supporters must accept freedom of speech and democracy,” he added.

See To also shared an image circulating on social media which disparaged Lee. The caption on the posting accused the national shuttler of making “plenty of money licking (caretaker prime minister) Najib's (Abdul Razak) and BN's boots.”

“The Arabic words (on the t-shirt) in this edited photo of Lee reads 'Go F**k Yourself'. That is how vulgar DAP supporters and their cybertroopers are.

“Malaysians should reject them in GE14 to punish DAP and Harapan for using such tactics,” he added.
