Najib expresses appreciation to voters, election workers

GE14 | Najib Abdul Razak expressed his appreciation to all voters and election workers who had discharged their respective responsibilities in the 14th general election today.

The caretaker prime minister also expressed similar appreciation to those who had been on duty to maintain security.

“Thank you to all the voters who exercised their right, the election workers who discharged their responsibility and the security forces who ensured a peaceful polling,” he tweeted.

Polling in Malaysia’s 14th general election took place from 8am to 5pm today, at 8,253 polling stations nationwide.

A total of 14.9 million electors were eligible to vote to elect representatives to 222 parliamentary and 505 state seats.

On nomination day on April 28, BN won the Rantau state seat in Negeri Sembilan unopposed through Mohamad Hasan, the menteri besar.
