Newly-minted Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun (above) has given his commitment that the opposition's views would be heard in the state assembly.

Aminuddin, who was the Sikamat assemblyperson for two terms, said his views when in the opposition often went unheard in the state assembly under BN's leadership.

"I already felt it for two terms, it is very distressing.

"I do not want our opposition friends today to go through the same thing as we are both working for the rakyat," he said in his first press conference as Negeri Sembilan menteri besar at the Istana Seri Menanti yesterday as reported by Astro Awani.

The new state government under Pakatan Harapan's leadership, he said, is determined to govern the state with the rakyat as their priority, regardless of whether their voices are represented by the opposition or not.

Aminuddin also acknowledged and expressed gratitude for the previous state government's achievements under the leadership of Negeri Sembilan BN chief Mohamad Hasan.

"The policies of free business permits, the ongoing projects in the state, all of it we will review.

"Whichever benefits the rakyat and the state, we will keep it going and improve it," he said.

Harapan won 20 out of the 36 state seats in Negeri Sembilan in the 14th general election which enabled them to form the state government with a simple majority.
