The police today announced transfers of five of its senior officers, effective June 18.

Bukit Aman inspector-general of police secretariat corporate communications head Asmawati Ahmad said one of the officers was the coordinating director of operations and policing advisor to the deputy prime minister, Zamri Yahya.

"He will be the Bukit Aman IGP secretariat (research and development) chief," she said in a statement here today.

Asmawati added that Sabah police deputy commissioner Razarudin Husain @ Abd Rasid would switch duties with Perak police deputy chief Omar Mammah.

In addition, she said, the aide-de-camp to the prime minister, Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri, would take over as the Bukit Ama's Internal Security and Public Order Department secretariat head.

Meanwhile, the aide-de-camp to the deputy prime minister, Mohd Nasaruddin M Nasir, will be the department's special action unit ACP (general police).
