Members of the media gathered outside former prime minister Najib Razak's home in Taman Duta after rumours circulated that police would be moving in today. 

Reporters and photographers were waiting at an intersection of a small road leading towards Najib's house this evening at approximately 5pm.

A small police tent was also seen there, with a few police officers checking the vehicles going into and leaving Najib’s home.

At around 6.05pm, a lorry was seen entering the premises. It left about a quarter of an hour later.

Media personnel saw items from Najib’s home being stored in the lorry. However, it could not be ascertained what these items were.

When asked, a police officer said the lorry driver refused to tell him what was being transported in the lorry.

The officer added that the items inside were from Najib’s house, and he had the right to move them.

Parti Cinta shows love for Najib

At around 5.45pm, former vice-president of Parti Cinta Malaysia Huan Cheng Guan was also seen leaving Najib’s home in a car.

He told the media that he was meeting Najib in a personal capacity, and told the deposed leader to remain strong.

"This is my first time coming to Najib’s house, and we talked for about half an hour.

"I told him to be patient and stay strong. We did not discussed special issues, and did not discuss Mahathir and Anwar," he told the press.

Police outriders escort cars

Later, at around 8.20pm, a few cars were seen leaving Najib’s home with two police outriders.

However, due to heavily tinted windows, it could not be determined who were in the cars.

It is also uncertain where the cars were heading to, or what time they would return to the former prime minister’s residence.

Najib later tweeted that he had performed a solat terawih in anticipation of Ramadhan in the Kampung Baru Mosque.

As of 9pm, a number of media personnel were still waiting outside Najib's home.
