1MDB CEO Arul Kanda Kandasamy was at the Finance Ministry this afternoon, likely for a meeting with Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng.

Arul Kanda arrived at 2.45pm at the ministry's headquarters in Putrajaya.

Yesterday, Lim said he wanted an explanation from Arul Kanda on how the company would fulfil interest payments of RM143.75 million by the May 30 deadline. 

Lim had claimed that Putrajaya bailed out 1MDB to the tune of almost RM7 billion for interest payments and settlement payments to Abu Dhabi's International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC).
