Former Sabah chief minister Musa Aman's whereabouts are still unknown, his brother is reported as saying.

According to Astro Awani, Kimanis MP Anifah said the last time he saw his brother was at the chief minister's residence at Sri Gaya, Kota Kinabalu on May 10.

“I have not contacted him for a long time. The last time we met was in Sri Gaya. I am sure he is okay,” he was reported as saying yesterday.

Anifah, the former foreign minister, made a plea for Musa to return home for the Aidilfitri celebrations coming shortly.

“Enough with the politics, take a break. Come home as someone strong, and come gather with the family when Hari Raya comes,” he was quoted as saying.

According to the report, rumours have been circulating of Musa being uncontactable since he left for Kuala Lumpur from Kota Kinabalu on May 14.

He was said to be attending a meeting chaired by acting Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

There are contradicting reports on Musa's whereabouts, with sources telling The Star that Musa is believed to have fled the country and flown to London. 

The New Straits Times, however, believe that the former chief minister is most likely still in the country. 

Last Friday, Musa's lawyer briefly stated that the Sabah BN chairperson would give his full cooperation to MACC investigations into complaints that he had intimidated Sabah governor Juhar Mahiruddin.

The lawyer said Musa welcomed MACC to search his residence.

Last Wednesday, the media reported that MACC officers went to Musa’s house, but failed to enter as no one was at home.
