Federal Territories Umno Youth will hold an event on Wednesday to allow contenders in the coming Umno Youth polls to introduce themselves to the grassroots.

This is the legacy the present Federal Territories Umno Youth chief Mohd Razlan Rafii (above) said he plans to leave for the youth wing.

Razlan today submitted his forms to contest for a party supreme council's post.

Met at Menara Dato Onn in Kuala Lumpur today, he said Wednesday's event will be useful for the youth delegates to get-to-know the candidates.

"Each candidate will be given two to three minutes to introduce themselves," he said.

This could allow the Umno Youth members to see how the candidates carried themselves and whether they could participate in a public debate with others, he added.

The event will be held at Wangsa Maju Umno Division headquarters.

Umno is reportedly barring all party election candidates from campaigning and no national-level leaders will be attending the division annual general assemblies slated to be held from June 23 and June 30.
