Khalid Samad acquitted of sedition

Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad was acquitted by the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court of a sedition charge he faced since 2014 for alleged statements against the Selangor Islamic Council and the sultan of Selangor.

According to his lawyer Mohd Hanipa Maidin, judge Rohatul Akmar Abdullah found there is no prima facie case against Khalid, and as such, the defence was not called...
