Perak DAP chairperson Nga Kor Ming will reportedly not be getting a place in the maiden Pakatan Harapan cabinet.

This is according to DAP sources, who said he has been passed over for ministership, as was DAP international secretary Teo Nie Ching.

"We originally heard Teo would be made a deputy minister, but she did not get the post.

"Nga was out (of the list) too," said one source told Malaysiakini today.

Another source told Malaysiakini that Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad was especially firm on the decision to leave out the Teluk Intan MP.

"Mahathir was quite firm, no ministerial or deputy ministerial post shall be given (to Nga)."

DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng had previously told Nga in the run-up to the 14th general election that he would be made a minister if Harapan captured Putrajaya.

The party is the second largest Harapan component in the Dewan Rakyat with 42 seats, after PKR with 50 seats.

Malaysiakini is attempting to get verification on this matter from Nga, Teo and Lim.
